**Want to be a competitor?**
Baking masters and brew masters will vie to win the title of the Best in the South Bay.
Competitors are encouraged to register on-line in advance of the competition. Both amateur and professional chefs are welcome to participate. Contestants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Before registration, all competitors MUST familiarize themselves with the rules as well as educate themselves as to safe and sanitary cooking and handling of food. Please direct any questions regarding the rules to office@palosverdeschamber.com.
Judging will be limited, so REGISTER EARLY online for membership in the Judging Society ($10 registration fee). Judges will receive voting tickets. The competitor with the most judges' tickets will win that category.
9:00-10:00am Competitors park at Peninsula High School, shuttle to the Street Fair and hand-deliver their entries to the shaded judging area in the Community Plaza. Competitors will receive a receipt for their entry, and are encouraged to enjoy the Fair until the winners are announced.
10:00am-2:00pm Judges check in and collect their voting tickets
10:00am-4:30pm Judges vote; votes are tallied
5:00pm Winners announced from the Community Plaza stage; ribbons presented. Contestants and judges need not be present, but are encouraged to attend the announcement ceremony.
