City Conversations: The RPV Edition
Some of the decisions that shape life on the Peninsula most happen closest to home. Roads and public safety, parks and development, the permits that help businesses open and grow, and the local measures on your ballot all run through city hall. They touch every resident and every business owner.
Between busy schedules and secondhand updates, though, it isn’t always easy to get the full picture. That’s the idea behind City Conversations: a chance to sit down over lunch, hear directly from city leadership, ask your own questions, and walk away better informed. With local elections coming up in November, the timing couldn’t be better.
 
Bringing people together is at the heart of what the Chamber does, and we can’t think of a better way to do it than putting residents, business owners, and city leaders at the same table.
 
Our mayors and council members are elected to set the vision and priorities for our cities. The city manager works hand in hand with them to bring that vision to life. They oversee the budget, city staff, daily operations and services, keep major projects moving forward, and provide continuity from year to year. That day-to-day view makes them a great person to explain what’s happening in your city and why it matters.
 
At City Conversations, Rancho Palos Verdes City Manager Ara Mihranian will share what’s happening in the city, from current projects and priorities to the local measure on the November ballot. Then the floor is yours for questions.
