Mission: Uplift the spirits, ease the fears & bring happiness to hospitalized children fighting cancer & other critical illnesses…one hat, one book, one smile at a time.

In 1991 Happy Hats for Kids in Hospitals became a non-profit organization. Our whimsical Hero Hats, Hero Club Books & holiday themed Happy Hats have brought happiness to 1.3+ million children throughout the U.S., Israel & beyond.

Our Hero Club Gift Packages include a whimsical Hero Hat, which brings immediate smiles to the precious faces of the kids; a bilingual/interactive Hero Club Book helps educate the kids and their families about basic hospital procedures in a gentle & humorous manner. The book is filled with loving messages, stimulating activities, coloring pages & jokes. Children learn that courage & bravery come from within & each child is truly a “Hero”. Each gift package is free of charge and offered to each child upon admittance into the hospital/ER & hospice.

Our festive, creative Holiday themed Happy Hats are given on 6 major holidays to kids, siblings/family members and hospital staff who devotedly care for the kids.

Hundreds of volunteers sew/decorate our exceptional Happy Hats including senior citizens, youth/adults with special needs, students, and prison inmates. Corporate employees are invited to participate in a team building Happy Hat decorating workshop for a minimal donation. No creative talent is necessary.
